Mid South Scrappers December 1, 2009 Newsletter # 1

Mid South Scrappers Newsletter # 1 December 1, 2009

Hello Mid South Scrappers!

Welcome to our first-ever newsletter and it is packed with information!

March Pajama Crop Party News! ~
Registrations and deposits have been steadily coming in! ALL the “bed/table to yourself” spaces are SOLD OUT! (That was exciting!) The “shared bed/table” option is filling up very nicely, so much so that there are ONLY 36 places left for this event!

More GREAT Pajama Crop Party News! ~
Glynn and I have discussed the $175 fee ($100 deposit and $75 balance) and have decided to offer splitting this up into three payments in an effort to make this easier at this time of year and economy. You may now register with a $60 deposit and you will have two payments remaining, $60 and $55.

Ideally, you could register the first week of December with your $60 deposit, make your second payment of $60 during the month of January and your balance of $55 in no later than February 26, 2010 as indicated in the brochure. Glynn has already set the buttons on the website for PayPal for those of you that want to use your credit card for each of these three payments.

Three Vendors will be setting up for the Pajama Party! ~
Here’s the line-up of vendors that are committed to the event so far …

Melissa Brazelton/Creative Memories from Olive Branch, MS …
Kristin Taylor/Scrapbook Memory Garden from Sheridan, AR …
Sherae Martin/Scrap Chic from N. Little Rock, AR.

You will be updated as to their email addresses and/or websites as we get a little closer to the weekend for pre-orders, etc.

Gift Certificates Available for the Pajama Crop Party! ~
Since it is Christmastime and some of you might want to get this Pajama Crop Weekend as a Christmas gift, you can drop that little hint along with my name and email address and I’ll be glad to send them a beautiful handmade Gift Certificate just for the occasion! They can pay the event in full or pay the deposit securing your spot and I’ll send them a Gift Certificate in the mail for them to have for you under the tree.

January 16th “All Day and Into the Night Crop” ~
Spots for this crop are also going at a steady rate! The deadline for the $40 fee is January 2, 2010 which is after Christmas, but why risk loosing your spot? Also, you don’t want to forget that I’m offering a $5 rebate for each “new to my event” cropper! Five dollars per new, registered referral can add up pretty quick and I’m sure that everyone knows a cropper or two out there that would be new to me! Plus, if you’re entitled to a “half-price crop” or have a gift certificate for a free one, why not use it now! Please send your gift certificate in with your registration form in substitution of payment. (I need your registration form for claiming your space.)

For those of you that might be interested in driving in for the "All Day and Into the Night Crop", I've worked with my rep at the Hampton and she's really done some negotiating with the management and is giving us a $89 per room, per night rate! These rooms will have two double or queen beds in them so up to four of you could split the cost making it much more affordable. You'll even get breakfast included in your room rate! I've been down there at breakfast time and your selection of hot and cold items are awesome! If you decide that you'd like to come in for the crop and stay overnight, please contact me as soon as possible so we can secure rooms close to the crop room for your convenience. If some of you come in for the crop, I bet we'll crop a little longer!

We’ve got a Blog! ~
I told you we’ve been busy! I haven’t posted much to the Blog yet as I was holding off, waiting for this Newsletter to come out but will begin posting on it later this week.

While the Blog will have information about the Hampton Inn – Olive Branch crops and latest weekend information, it will also contain information about workshops that I will be hosting as well. These workshops will begin in January with the first one being in my mom’s home in Southaven, MS. Pictures of the cards and projects will be posted in January, so you’ll want to stay tuned for that information!

Other information that you’ll want to file in the back of your mind is that there are crops in the works for more locations in the mid-south area! I’ve got a couple of locations in the works for Memphis as well as over in Arkansas. Hopefully one will be scheduled for the Jackson, TN area soon as well!
