Please note: If you are going to bring your Cricut, Silhouette or other electronic equipment, please bring an extension cord to plug it in. You will also need to dedicate a portion of your crop space for it.

Table Light: Since this is a new location, I’ve not cropped under these lights so bringing your table light might be a good idea. I will have run the “big orange” power cords to each group of tables. You will need to work within your group to bring at least two power strips.

Mojo Monday Week 120 Entry ...

Hello Mid South Scrappers!

I had so much fun entering the St. Patrick's Day card for Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge last week, I thought I'd try my hand again this week. Here's my entry. I'm really excited about this one as I've been thinking about incorporating these papers and colors for a Valentine card for a couple of weeks now. I've used a bunch of different papers from different companies along with several embellishments. I'll post about all the materials in greater detail a little later, so stay tuned for that! I'll also be sharing some of the other cards I've made over the past few weeks.

Thanks!

Terry

January 2010 Newsletter

Happy New Year from Mid South Scrappers!

Hello Mid South Scrappers and welcome to 2010! There’s so much for us to look forward to in this bright New Year! This newsletter is much shorter than the last one as there’s not as much information to cover … LOL

The January 16th “All Day and Into the Night Crop” is almost full! There are three spaces left. Registrations postmarked after tomorrow, January 2nd, will need to include the additional $5 for late registration. (Please email me to make certain there are spots remaining in the event they’ve already been filled.) We have a lot of new croppers coming to this crop!

The next “All Day and Into the Night Crop” is Saturday, April 17th so mark your calendar for that one! So far, three people will have Rebate Bucks to use from their January referrals. That’s something to keep in mind if you’d like to have your next crop fee offset by as much as $25! For each new person that you refer to my crop, i.e. one that’s never been to one of my crops or weekends before, you will receive $5 towards your next crop fee. $25 off of a $40 crop fee is pretty sweet! Chicken Salad and Mexican Casserole just add to it …

The info/registration form for the April “All Day and Into the Night Crop” is not loaded yet as there may be a location change … One that’s a more central location for everyone, including my Arlington, Cordova and Bartlett croppers so stay tuned for that info.

The March Pajama Crop Party Weekend is almost full! The offer of splitting the $175 into three payments made sign-ups much more affordable and lots of folks have taken advantage of that.

Want the March Pajama Crop Party Weekend for Valentines? If you want to drop the weekend as a hint for your Valentine’s gift, give them my name and email and I’ll be glad to help them take care of the rest. I’ve even made a cute Valentine’s Gift Certificate just for the occasion! (Margaret Sharp took me up on the Christmas Gift Certificate and she was very pleased … So was Toya!) I’ll put a picture of the Christmas Gift Certificate over on the MSS Blog site so y’all can see it. I thought it was cute.

I wouldn’t delay in getting registered for the March Pajama Crop Party Weekend much longer … It’s after Christmas, the kids are heading back to school and the girls are going to be ready to go to a weekend just for them!

As always, please don’t hesitate to email me with any questions!

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Mojo Monday Submission ...

Hello and Happy New Year Mid South Scrappers Crops and Weekends!

After watching Mojo Monday for about 6 months now, I've decided to try my hand at one of the sketches and actually submit it. I'm amazed at how many cardmakers there are that follow the Mojo Monday blog and that they're from all over the world. The cards are absolutely beautiful, although I will confess that I haven't looked at all of them as there are over 300.

Here's my take on the current Mojo Monday Week #119 ...

I've used product from several companies. Papers are from Creative Memories and Close to My Heart. Stamps are mostly from Close to My Heart. Embellishments used are buttons, tiny Champagne pearls from Kaiser Craft and green satin ribbon. Shapes for the rectangles and pinked circles are from Spellbinders.

Thanks for looking!

Terry

Mid South Scrappers December 1, 2009 Newsletter # 1

Mid South Scrappers Newsletter # 1 December 1, 2009

Hello Mid South Scrappers!

Welcome to our first-ever newsletter and it is packed with information!

March Pajama Crop Party News! ~
Registrations and deposits have been steadily coming in! ALL the “bed/table to yourself” spaces are SOLD OUT! (That was exciting!) The “shared bed/table” option is filling up very nicely, so much so that there are ONLY 36 places left for this event!

More GREAT Pajama Crop Party News! ~
Glynn and I have discussed the $175 fee ($100 deposit and $75 balance) and have decided to offer splitting this up into three payments in an effort to make this easier at this time of year and economy. You may now register with a $60 deposit and you will have two payments remaining, $60 and $55.

Ideally, you could register the first week of December with your $60 deposit, make your second payment of $60 during the month of January and your balance of $55 in no later than February 26, 2010 as indicated in the brochure. Glynn has already set the buttons on the website for PayPal for those of you that want to use your credit card for each of these three payments.

Three Vendors will be setting up for the Pajama Party! ~
Here’s the line-up of vendors that are committed to the event so far …

Melissa Brazelton/Creative Memories from Olive Branch, MS …
Kristin Taylor/Scrapbook Memory Garden from Sheridan, AR …
Sherae Martin/Scrap Chic from N. Little Rock, AR.

You will be updated as to their email addresses and/or websites as we get a little closer to the weekend for pre-orders, etc.

Gift Certificates Available for the Pajama Crop Party! ~
Since it is Christmastime and some of you might want to get this Pajama Crop Weekend as a Christmas gift, you can drop that little hint along with my name and email address and I’ll be glad to send them a beautiful handmade Gift Certificate just for the occasion! They can pay the event in full or pay the deposit securing your spot and I’ll send them a Gift Certificate in the mail for them to have for you under the tree.

January 16th “All Day and Into the Night Crop” ~
Spots for this crop are also going at a steady rate! The deadline for the $40 fee is January 2, 2010 which is after Christmas, but why risk loosing your spot? Also, you don’t want to forget that I’m offering a $5 rebate for each “new to my event” cropper! Five dollars per new, registered referral can add up pretty quick and I’m sure that everyone knows a cropper or two out there that would be new to me! Plus, if you’re entitled to a “half-price crop” or have a gift certificate for a free one, why not use it now! Please send your gift certificate in with your registration form in substitution of payment. (I need your registration form for claiming your space.)

For those of you that might be interested in driving in for the "All Day and Into the Night Crop", I've worked with my rep at the Hampton and she's really done some negotiating with the management and is giving us a $89 per room, per night rate! These rooms will have two double or queen beds in them so up to four of you could split the cost making it much more affordable. You'll even get breakfast included in your room rate! I've been down there at breakfast time and your selection of hot and cold items are awesome! If you decide that you'd like to come in for the crop and stay overnight, please contact me as soon as possible so we can secure rooms close to the crop room for your convenience. If some of you come in for the crop, I bet we'll crop a little longer!

We’ve got a Blog! ~
I told you we’ve been busy! I haven’t posted much to the Blog yet as I was holding off, waiting for this Newsletter to come out but will begin posting on it later this week.

While the Blog will have information about the Hampton Inn – Olive Branch crops and latest weekend information, it will also contain information about workshops that I will be hosting as well. These workshops will begin in January with the first one being in my mom’s home in Southaven, MS. Pictures of the cards and projects will be posted in January, so you’ll want to stay tuned for that information!

Other information that you’ll want to file in the back of your mind is that there are crops in the works for more locations in the mid-south area! I’ve got a couple of locations in the works for Memphis as well as over in Arkansas. Hopefully one will be scheduled for the Jackson, TN area soon as well!

The Blog address is: http://midsouthscrapperscropsnweekends.blogspot.com/

Mid South Scrappers is on Facebook! ~
I've also got a Mid South Scrappers group set up over on Facebook, so feel free to check that out as well! You might just find some of your old croppin' friends from around the mid-south on there that you'd like to catch back up with!

The Facebook address is:
