Mid South Scrappers Event Updates!

Mid South Scrappers Event Updates! More Have Been Scheduled!

Hello Ladies ~

First, I'll apologize for the second newsletter in just a few days but there were several things (dates and events) up in the air that I can now talk about. So ... As promised, here's the updates for crops and weekends for Mid South Scrappers!

I do thank you for your time!

Terry

This Saturday's 'All Day & Into the Night Crop

Has a Few More Spaces Available!

Comfort Suites

4090 Stansell Court

Memphis, TN 38125

Saturday, January 29th from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

I've been in contact with Comfort Suites and have been allowed to use the Conference Room which is accessed through the Meeting Room! This gives us 6 more spaces! Since this crop is this Saturday, if you'd like to come, please email me and I'll put you down for one of those spaces. (You will be in a separate room but not totally away from everyone else.)

We will be on the 'honor system' for these spaces in that you're going to follow through with coming and not canceling at the last minute. You will need to print off a registration form to fill out and bring with you and your fee to the crop.

Please email me at: terry@midsouthscrappers.com if you'd like to claim one of these spaces.

Thanks!

Advanced Card Workshop with Crop Time to Follow

at Kathy's in Olive Branch!

Saturday, February 12th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Kathy's offered to host an 'Advanced Card Workshop' at her home in Olive Branch, MS. We will begin the day with a small advanced card workshop, making three cards/two of each one for a total of six cards. I believe this will take us from 10 a.m. until noon. We'll have lunch and then spend the rest of the time cropping on whatever you bring to work on.

Kathy and I will provide your lunch, a few snacks and beverages for the day. Your fee for this crop is $30. This fee includes your lunch, snacks and beverages and your workshop materials with the exception of you bringing your own adhesives.

A couple of things to consider ~
You must have done some card workshops before as we'll be moving right along. We'll be making a total of 6 cards in two hours!

There's only room for six croppers.

You need to email me independently for the registration form in order to attend.

We look forward to hearing back from you!

Terry & Kathy

February 19th 'All Day & Into the Night Crop!

Comfort Suites

4090 Stansell Court

Memphis, TN 38125

Saturday, February 19th - 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Since the January 29th 'All Day and Into the Night Crop' filled up prior to being able to use the Conference Room I've booked another crop! The Registration/Information form will go up on the Mid South Scrappers website, www.midsouthscrappers.com, next Sunday. I believe in giving crop and weekend attendees first dibs on their space for the following event, so any spaces not taken, will be up for grabs beginning Sunday.

I will have a Close To My Heart Workshop to offer but it's too soon for a decision as to what's that is going to be at this time.

Let's Try Another 2-Day Crop at St. Stephens!

St. Stephens United Methodist Church!

3981 Macon Road, Memphis, TN 38122

(At the corner of Macon & Graham.)

Friday, March 18th from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Saturday, March 19th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

There's separate fees for each day!

You'll get a price break if you attend both days!

I believe the previous attempt for this crop was too close after Christmas. While several of us were ready for some serious cropping time, not everyone was able to do so. Plus, there were several that couldn't come on Friday due to jobs, etc. so there are prices per day or a combined rate if you can come for both!

The Registration/Information form will be loaded on the Mid South Scrappers website this afternoon or you can email me and I'll send you one, either way is fine.

Let's make this one a success!

Thrifty Option No Longer Available

The 'Thrifty Option', that of sharing a bed and table with another cropper will no longer be available for all future weekends. Due to lack of interest, I will no longer offer this option. The people that have tried this previously have always upgraded to the 'Luxury Option' on their return.

Since this is not a 'big hit' with you croppin' ladies, I don't believe this will be a problem.

Jackson/Vicksburg Area Weekend Crop ...

Your Feedback is Needed!

I am in the process of putting together a weekend crop down in the Jackson/Vicksburg, MS area and need your feedback! I would like to hear from my clients that live in that area that would be interested in attending.

I also need vendors that would be interested in setting up a booth. This event is tentatively set for the end of September. I'm specifically looking for a Creative Memories Consultant, a scrapbook store or two and a clothing/t-shirt vendor.

I believe we'll be able to accommodate up to 50 croppers at this event with everyone having an entire 6 foot table to themselves.

Please let me hear back from you as I begin this quest!

You can email me at: terry@midsouthscrappers.com. All input will be greatly appreciated!

Again, I do apologize for sending out two newsletters so close to together. Please check the Mid South Scrappers Facebook page for updates as to the filling of the events listed above. I'll do my very best not to send out another newsletter until the end of February ... LOL

Thanks for your time and interest in the Mid South Scrappers Events!

Late January Newsletter

Mid South Scrappers & Close to My Heart Newsletter

Hello Mid South Scrappers and CTMH Clients!

January is almost over and February is rushing right in. With that has been more snow fall than we've seen around the Mid South in quite a few years and they are forecasting more! I think we're all pretty much ready for it to all move on and our normal climate to regain control.

While this newsletter is dedicated to Close To My Heart information, I will be sending out another newsletter in the next week or so with new crop dates and updates on the March Pajama Crop Party Weekend. I've got several emails out for crop and workshop dates, so you'll be looking forward to the next newsletter.

As always, there's lots to cover so please read through it carefully. It'll be easy to miss something ...

Thanks for your time and have a great week!

January Stamp of the Month ends 1/31/11!
If you've checked out the January Stamp of the Month, you may have been scratching your head like I was. However, upon trying to enter a CTMH Blog Hop, I 'had' to come up with something and look how it turned out! There's SO much that you can do with this stamp set when you start playing with it and you should see what other CTMHer's came up with! Amazing! This is a 'TriShutter Card' and the instructions on how to make it can be found on Split Coast Stampers. It's not as hard as it looks! It takes more planning on where to put what than anything. There's more pics on my blog, "Too Many Hobbies & Never Enough Time"

The January "Inspirations" catalog also ends on 1/31/11! Along with it are the specials offered on the five stamps sets in this little catalog when you purchase the "Wings Workshop on the Go". If you opt to purchase the Wings WOTG and all five stamp sets, you will save $25.75 over the stamp sets alone! This automatically qualifies you for the January Stamp of the Month FREE which brings your savings up to $48.70! What a deal! You don't have to buy all five stamp sets, you can pick and choose. Any savings on stamp sets is always a plus! Not to mention you're getting a stamp set in the Wings Workshop on the Go.

Workshops on the Go in the Autumn/Winter Catalog GO AWAY after 1/31/11! You don't want to miss out! (I've got my stash already!)
The Workshops on the Go are like the Stamps of the Month, they are only available while that catalog is current. The Autumn/Winter 2010 catalog expires on 1/31/11 and our new catalog goes into effect on 2/1/11! I've already seen it and it's GORGEOUS! But, with the new, comes loosing the old and I'm especially fond of the Mistletoe, Magnifique and Olivia Workshops on the Go!

Let me explain what a 'Workshop on the Go' is ... You get a Level 2 Paper Pack, a B-Sized Stamp Set (only available with that WOTG) and another item, usually an embellishment or other item for embellishing. You CAN NOT buy those stamp sets out right, which also adds a great value and draw for the WOTG's. The WOTG's are located on pages 24 - 25 of the Autumn/Winter 2010 Catalog.

Here's a link that will let you look at each one. WOTG's - Check Them Out!

Discontinued Products You MUST See to Believe!

Close To My Heart has been cleaning house and have some AWESOME deals for you! Some of the items were previously available to Consultants Only! There are rub-on's, ribbon galore, 4 different card kits, brads, several Level 1 packs, album pages, Journaling Prompts a Level 2 paper pack and several other items, really too many to list.

Here's the link specifically for the Discontinued Products!

You can order as many as you want, too! I just placed an order and most everything on it was from the Discontinued Products page! The products are even cheaper than what I could buy them for prior to being discontinued.

The New Spring/Summer 2011 Catalog!

Our new catalog is full of beautiful paper packs! There are 8 new paper packs and 8 new Workshops on the Go! You'll be able to see the Stamp of the Month for six months! There are at least 75 new stamp sets and a ton of new embellishments!

Along with all the new items comes lots of new ideas for scrapbooking and cardmakers! Place an order on My CTMH website through 1/31/11 and I'll mail your new catalog out to you FREE!

Place a minimum order of $20 (excluding tax and shipping/handling) during December on my CTMH® website and you will receive a popular, retired D-size stamp set for FREE! You will not be charged shipping or tax on your free stamp set as well! You MUST place your order on my website ...
http://terrydunlapmidsouthscrappers.myctmh.com/

"Plenty for Twenty" MUST be ordered directly from my CTMH website in order to receive the free stamp set.

November Newsletter 2010

Hello Mid South Scrappers ~

Fall is finally here! The leaves are turning and falling on the ground and Daylight Savings Time is next Sunday! That means the holidays are just around the corner! I've got LOTS of news to report in this newsletter so here we go ...

March Pajama Crop Party Weekend ~
Registration has taken off at the speed of sound! I have 15 registrations in my hand and all have taken the Luxury Option! I've also had emails from five more that they've mailed their forms and payments in the last couple of days! That means that 20 spaces are gone and only 12 remain! How awesome is that! There's several croppers from the Fall Scrappin' Extravaganza that are returning and that's a high compliement to me and Kathy! Thank you so much for that! Kathy will be returning as my Co-Host for the March Pajama Crop Party Weekend as well!

Vendors for the Pajama Crop Party Weekend ~
Here are the Vendors that have "officially" signed up ...
Melissa Brazelton with Creative Memories ...
Ellen Barner with Stampin' Up! ...
Kathy Johnson's "Oh Scrap" bags and other goodies ...
Terry Dunlap with Close to My Heart
Yep, you read right! That's me vending for Close to My Heart! I signed up last Friday and am looking forward to holding at least two workshops at the weekend! (More on my CTMH venture further down ... )

All Day and Into the Night Crops ~
These will resume in January! They may even be held bi-monthly! Stay tuned for locations, dates, times and NEW pricing to follow in the December Newsletter!

Close to My Heart ~
I will begin holding workshops in January unless I have a real demand for one the end of November or first part of December for Christmas and Thank You Cards. (Photos of these will be on my newsletter and on my CTMH website under Artwork in a couple of weeks.) Some workshops will be held during the All Day and Into the Night Crops, so you'll definitely want to pay attention to those dates and workshops offered as there will be "extra special" pricing on your dual attendance.

I would like to start a Stamp Club and November will be an excellent month to begin that! The Stamp of the Month for November is called "A Little Thanks" which will yield fantastic Thanksgiving and Thank You cards plus great album pages for people you are thankful for. Here's how Stamp Club works ... We need at least six members for Stamp Club, each committing to spend a minimum of $25 each. This will take us up to $150 which will place us at the entry level for reaping Hostess Rewards. (At $150, you earn $25 in free product!) We will be in a rotation for the Hostess Rewards with everyone getting a turn at being the Hostess. The more the members of our Stamp Club order, the higher the Hostess Rewards! It's a "win - win" situation as everyone gets a turn to earn free merchandise and I don't know who doesn't LOVE getting stuff for free, especially these days! Email me at: terry@midsouthscrappers.com if you'd like to join my Stamp Club or have any questions about it. The first person that signs up will be the first one to earn those Hostess Rewards!

Close to My Heart has really ramped up their website with regard to Gatherings, a.k.a. Home Parties. You can now hold a "Virtual Gathering" where people can shop in the comfort of their own homes via the Online Catalog or one they hold in their hand. To me, Virtual Gatherings hold a two-fold benefit! The Hostess doesn't have to clean up her house, make goodies for the attendees, or run her husband and children off for a while ... LOL The attendees don't have to take time out of their already overloaded schedule and daily routines to be at a certain place at a certain time and can shop in their pj's at 2 a.m. if they want to. Plus, you can invite people to your "Virtual Gathering" from all across the United States! How fabulous is that! If you're interested in hosting a Virtual Gathering, please email me and we'll work together to get that set up.

I will also be starting a separate newsletter specifically for my Close to My Heart activities. I will send it out to everyone in the Mid South Scrappers initially and if you're not interested in Close to My Heart's products or already represent the company, please hit "Reply" and type "unsubscribe" and I'll remove you from that CTMH specific newsletter.

Here's the link to my Close to My Heart website: http://terrydunlapmidsouthscrappers.myctmh.com/. I don't have anything up there yet other than "My Story" but that will be changing over the new few weeks!

On a Personal Note ~
I can now tell you that after 12 LONG weeks, we are NOT moving to Mountain Home, AR. It has been one long roller coaster ride that had more steep hills and hairpin turns than anything I could ever imagine! I've heard more "yes, yes, yes" only to be followed by a big fat "NO" than I'd ever care to experience again! What we believed to be a "dream" was, in fact, a nightmare! Sometimes dreams just need to stay that, dreams.

Anyway, it's been a long journey home and Glynn came back home (to stay) yesterday afternoon about 5 p.m. after having been gone for two more weeks. He wasn't supposed to be back until Saturday but yet another phone call changed everything. He didn't let me know about this new "turn of events" and gave me a wonderful surprise! He even knocked on the door so he could see my expression.

Thank you for all your love, care, thoughts and prayers through this ordeal!
Thanks,

Terry Dunlap
